Thank you for being a part of the Shepherd University's Athletic Department. We thrive on our quest to compete at the highest levels and place a strong emphasis on compliance related to campus, conference and national regulations. We are commitment to being champions in the classroom in addition to our championship goals in athletics. We are long standing NCAA Division II members indicating our emphasis on regional play and a partial scholarship model. We are a member of the
Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. The PSAC is made up of 18 full-time members institutions. Highly competitive on a regional and national level, PSAC schools annually combine to send nearly one-third of its teams into NCAA postseason play. Ultimately, the membership's success has yielded 54 NCAA team and 285 individual title winners.
At Shepherd University, our athletic department provides an opportunity for committed student-athletes to develop both in the classroom and fields of competition. Our mission is to provide a solid foundation for our student-athletes as we guide them to become leaders of tomorrow. We recruit and train student-athletes as pillars of communities and alumni which Shepherd University can look proudly upon. Our dedicated student-athletes will consistently progress to the best of what Shepherd University has to offer as students and teammates. Accountability and respect are core values of all Rams. We promote a competitive spirit in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and NCAA Division II levels, be open with all policies and procedures by which we govern, and promote the mission of Shepherd University.
Many years of commitment and success have been recognized over the years by the coaches, administrators and most importantly the student-athletes who have competed for the Blue and Gold. We expect that those same commitments and successes to continue for the Rams. The following web links will assist in those expectations as we "Fight On and Win Again for Old SU".
